polar drift- revisits elements from a series of experiments I conducted with magnetism between 2016 and 2018. This piece combines magnets, iron filings, found objects, and a 4-inch plexiglass hemisphere suspended above a 16-inch black and steel base. Offering a space for contemplation, magnets generate a subtle-continuous motion, animating materials once deemed inert.
For the exhibition, “Cachivaches” will unfold as a progressive promenade through the domestic space, transition into each room and outdoor space. Organized & curated by Andrea Molina Cuadro & Oscar M. Caballero
